An 11 Year Old in the House

Max turned 11 last Friday! Hard to believe he's grown so quickly but he's a fine young man. Very polite, kind, smart and obviously handsome! We're very proud of him

Mark Thomas is officially a Red Raider now! He had his first game this past Saturday and did awesome! He plays coach pitch and each time he was up to bat he hit it out into the outfield. One would have been a home run, but the players on second and third didn't realize what was going on and therefore didn't run fast enough or at all so MT was left with a single. He sure looks cute on the field.

Ben is the first person in this house to experiment with his hair. Unless you count Mark in his younger, wilder days! We're on the fence about it, but Ben says it's because it's in the middle right now. Guess the verdict is still out.

happy birthday to max! i was wondering about Ben's hair, but that explains it- hair in his eyes might get in the way of turtle hunting, you know!

Hey Keffers,
Good to finally get a handle on where you are and how you are doing. Things are going well for us up here in the cold north. Snow has stayed north of the Thruway for most of the winter so the snow blower has been run only a few times. Nathan is playing the Trombone and doing quite well so maybe he can get together with Max in the future and jam. Emily is working on the sax with Nina Kowal helping her. She'll have a two year jump on fifth grade music.
Just finished states and have the swim banquet tomorrow night.
Shannon has gotten a promotion and "only" works 7 to 3, M - F in addition to teaching and her other jobs.
I am supposed to start working as an at home sales person for Home Depot on Monday. Another job change for me. Should give me the freedom to get the kids on the bus in the morning. That's a good thing.
Hope your situation with Allan works out but sometimes there is a reason things happen. Perhaps to make others aware of what is going on in the adoption process. It is not right that they are allowing this to go on if it is not legitimate. Our hearts go out to you.

Let Mark know that I have finally stepped up to play with the big boys at the Baptist Church on Friday nights. Recent activities have stepped up for Shannon and I.

When you guys make the trip up, we have now renovated the basement so there is one room with a Queen size bed, another area with a set of bunk beds, and a single bed and two pull out couches so we have the room. Your own bathroom too. You will be welcome at the house.
