Mark's parents visited last weekend from Pennsylvania. Hard to conceive, but his mom had NEVER been to Texas. I think she was pleasantly surprised, having told someone at our church, she pictured it "as a place with a lot of dust." We took the kids out of school that Friday to spend the day in Galveston, only an hour from our house, then the ferry ride is another 20 minutes. It was a beautiful day! We celebrated Mark Thomas' 7th birthday at the RainForest Cafe and had a wonderful dinner. Then we headed to Moody Gardens for the Festival of Lights.
Mark's New Glasses, he couldn't pass his driver's license test, so it was off to the eye doctor!
