Positive Signs

We've heard today that two of our main roads that are very close to our house have power today. Our neighborhood still does not but we're hopeful that maybe within the next few days we'll be up and running. Mark is going home tomorrow. Always the minister, he can't stand to be sitting here doing nothing and wants to get back to help others out. So we've borrowed a generator, thanks Jacksons and he'll be back on the home front tomorrow. Still no school so our hurrication continues.

i am the bearer of bad news, my dear neighbor- you are correct about nearby roads, however, b/c of our "alley way" electric system-it could be a long time yet until the electricity is up and running. we were among the very last in beaumont last time- but they did have to replace a few downed poles during Rita, and most of the poles remained intact this time. it's hard for the entergy people to get behind every yard to repair and not be able to get their trucks and lifts back in the backyards. (alley way- meaning our electricity runs between our houses in the backyards without any way for the electric men to get their trucks in) hopefully, i'm wrong. we're heading to atlanta to see my mama tomorrow- field trip for the weekend!! then back to memphis or home to beaumont depending on news. call if you get power or if mark says we have power. love you!
